Why we need this role
The Carbon Accounting Lead will be a key member of the ESG Team, responsible for ensuring the centralization, consistency, and integrity of carbon data across the organization. This role involves measuring, analyzing, and reporting on Colt’s global carbon footprint, requiring the management of complex data sets across multiple levels—global, country, site, and project.
The primary objective is to implement a structured, controlled, and integrated approach to carbon data management and Net Zero strategy execution across all Colt functions, embedding ESG principles into core business operations. A core focus of this position is to support and monitor our Net Zero strategy, making proven experience in carbon accounting and decarbonization monitoring essential. Strong data analysis, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills are critical to success.
Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks—such as SBTi, CDP, TCFD, and TPT*—is highly desirable, as this knowledge will enhance our ability to meet upcoming EU reporting requirements, collect robust datasets, narratives, and evidence to support internal decision-making and external assurance processes.

What you will do
- Lead carbon footprint calculations for Colt globally: Develop a structured approach to capture carbon metrics across all business functions, ensuring centralized reporting capabilities following international recognized standards (GHG protocol, SBTs, etc.).
- Implement robust data control and validation procedures: Establish a comprehensive internal carbon data governance, quality, and control framework to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and complete coverage.Support internal decision-making and external assurance processes.
- Develop centralized sustainability dashboards to monitor Net Zero strategy performance: Visualize progress against targets, and support decision-making across global operations. Dashboards will incorporate advanced data visualization techniques to highlight areas for improvement and drive actionable insights, in line with best practices.
- Validate carbon reductions and underlying data at both project and program levels: Collaborate with Colt’s functions to shape and maintain science-based target roadmaps, while managing global carbon data systems and ensuring data integrity.
- Ensure alignment with best-practice financial modelling methodologies: particularly those outlined by the TPT and TCFD.
- Lead the delivery of environmental-related non-financial reporting requirements (e.g., GRI, SECR, CSRD, TCFD): ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely submission. This includes managing relevant data collection processes, aligning disclosures with regulatory expectations, and supporting internal and external audit readiness.
What we\’re looking for
- Experience in carbon accounting in accordance with the GHG Protocol is essential, ensuring accurate measurement and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions. Proven track record working on complex multinational projects involving large and diverse data sets. Familiarity with carbon accounting tools is considered a strong plus.
- Highly experienced in collecting, analysing and producing dashboards to measure ESG performance against targets
- Experience monitoring Net Zero strategies in alignment with the Net Zero SBTi standard. Defining Net Zero roadmaps in line with SBTi criteria and implementing emissions reduction measures is a strong plus.
- Exposure to transition planning and the link between carbon accounting and financial planning is a significant advantage
- Hands-on experience contributing to environmental disclosures within sustainability reports, particularly in the context of frameworks such as GRI and CSRD, is highly desirable.
- Advanced excel skills with the ability to carry out data analysis on environmental data
