The Opportunity
We are seeking a senior, highly skilled CNC Milling production engineer with strong Fanuc experience. This role is suited to an engineer who enjoys technical challenge, takes ownership of quality, and wants to play an influential role within a growing, quality-driven business. As a small, highly capable team, your experience and judgement will matter. You will have the opportunity not only to machine exceptional parts, but also to contribute to process development, continuous improvement, and future automation initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Programme Fanuc-controlled CNC machines
- Manufacturing high-precision, close-tolerance medical components
- Working to the exacting quality standards required for regulated medical devices
- Producing complex parts where accuracy, surface finish, and repeatability are critical
- Taking ownership of first-off approval, problem-solving, and process optimisation
- Supporting lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
- Contributing ideas towards automation and productivity enhancements
Essential Experience & Attributes
- Time-served or apprentice-trained machinist
- Strong, proven experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC machining
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve tight tolerances and premium surface finishes
- A quality-first mindset with high personal standards of workmanship
- Confident working independently from engineering drawings and specifications
- Calm, methodical problem-solver with a professional, proactive attitude
Desirable Knowledge & Experience
- Advanced programming on Fanuc controls
- Experience in medical, aerospace, or other regulated industries
- Exposure to automation techniques within CNC manufacturing
- Experience or interest in collaborative robot (cobot) programming and integration
- CAM experience using Fusion 360 or similar software
