Located in Hemel Hempstead, our showroom features the latest innovations in wide-format printers and software designed to enhance efficiency and colour management. Our 13,000 sq ft warehouse stocks inkjet materials, display and framing products, sublimation blanks and custom-developed media sourced directly from trusted global manufacturers, ensuring high quality and competitive pricing. With large stock availability and next-day delivery to 95% of the UK, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of our clients promptly and efficiently.

This is a permanent, full-time role based on-site in Hemel Hempstead and with regular attendance at customer sites and occasionally at exhibitions. Reporting to the Technical Director, the Technical Support Specialist will handle tasks such as:

  • Providing technical assistance to clients
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Analysing technical problems
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through outstanding support
  • Responding to customer inquiries and resolving challenges
  • Maintaining excellent service standards

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Installation and training of all Colourbyte solutions including printers, cutters, laminators, heat presses & RIPS
  • Showroom, on-site and exhibition demonstrations of all hardware and software and printing of samples from customer files to assist the sales department
  • Testing and colour profiling of new media both in the showroom and on customer sites
  • Producing A4 printed samples of Colourbyte media for the sales team to promote
  • Testing of new hardware and keeping up to date with software releases from ONYX, EFI, CADLINK, and printers from INKTEC MIMAKI, MUTOH, EPSON, CANON & HP
  • Maintaining showroom printers to ensure they are always ready for demonstration purposes
  • First line technical support on hardware, related software rips, colour profiling issues and remote dial-in support

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience of Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
  • Experience with wide-format printers, colour management software and Rips
