Job Description

Colourbox Montessori Nursery & Forest School in Newmarket are currently recruiting for an outdoor teacher or Level 3 Forest School Leader to join our team.

This role is a full-time or part-time position with the opportunity for continuous professional development, where your main duties will be nurturing and caring for the development of children and facilitating the awe and wonder of learning outside the classroom.

We will consider Level 3 Forest School Leaders, outdoor teachers, or qualified early years practitioners who are currently completing Forest School Training, or are wishing to undertake a Forest School qualification as well.

Duties

  • Showcase your brilliant talents: Plan, deliver, organise and run forest school sessions that promote learning in an outdoor environment and reflect the ethos of the nursery in a fun and engaging way.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring the forest school area is safe for the children and staff by compiling risk–benefit analyses and implement risk management systems.
  • Build positive and successful relationships with colleagues, children, and parents in line with our ethos: "Excited about learning; excited about life!"

Requirements of the role

  • Living and working in the UK with full rights to do so.
  • A Full and Relevant Level 3+ Childcare qualification, willing to take on one, or working toward one.
  • An enhanced DBS check (we will apply for this).
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding and EYFS.
  • First aid, basic food hygiene and safeguard training desirable, but training is provided.
  • Previous experience in early years desirable, but not essential.
