Colourbox Montessori School are currently recruiting for an Outdoor Teacherwith a minimum Level 3Childcare qualificationto join our stunning Forest School team site in Newmarket.
This role is a full-time or part-time position, where your main duties will be nurturing and caring for the development of children and facilitating the awe and wonder of learning outside the classroom. We will consider outdoor teachers who are currently completing Level 3 Forest School Training in addition to their childcare qualification, or arewishing to undertake a Forest School qualification as part of their professional development.
Duties:
- Showcase your brilliant talents: Plan, deliver, organise and run forest school sessions that promote learning in an outdoor environment and reflect the ethos of the nursery in a fun and engaging way.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment, ensuringthe forest school area is safe for the children and staff by compiling risk–benefit analyses and implement risk management systems.
- Buildpositive and successful relationships with colleagues, children, and parents in line with our ethos: \”Excited about learning; excited about life!\”
- Uniform provided, including allowance for all-weather gear.
- Option to work a 4-day week, compressed hours.
- Social events provided by the nursery.
- In-house Montessori, Forest School, and CPD training.
- Company pension.
- Negotiable salary dependant on qualifications.
Requirements of the role:
- Living and working in the UK with full rights to do so.
- A Full and Relevant Level 3+ Childcare qualification
- An enhanced DBS check (we will apply for this).
- Knowledge of Safeguarding and EYFS.
- First aid, basic food hygiene and safeguard training desirable, but training is provided.
- Previous experience in early years
