Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, highly technical and commercially savvy FP&A Principal to lead financial planning and analysis across both our Digital and Campus entities in the US and UK. You will report to the CFO and will work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, and interface with the board and prospective investors to ensure that strong financial modelling and data‐driven insights guide decision‐making and that strategic priorities are translated into measurable financial plans.

This is a high-impact role requiring someone comfortable operating in a fast‐paced, scaling environment with multiple revenue streams, international operations, and a mission‐driven ethos. You'll be instrumental in building a rigorous and business critical FP&A function across our multiple business models, driving profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and long‐term strategic planning.

You will also play a pivotal role in supporting investor due diligence for fundraises (VC, PE and debt financing) and managing investor reporting. Prior experience supporting capital raises and producing financial insights and materials for investors is highly desirable. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be directly involved in presenting to investors.

What you will be doing

  • Lead all Group budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles across both Campus and Digital businesses.
  • Own, develop and manage consolidated Group financial models, scenario analysis, and long‐range plans to support strategic decision‐making.
  • Deliver monthly financial performance reviews and KPI dashboards for senior leadership, board‐level reporting and investor reports.
  • Provide commercial and financial analysis to support investment decisions, new market entry, pricing strategies, and product expansion.
  • Build customer Pro Forma to project EBITDA, inventory requirements, accounts receivable and debt levels for new customers, working closely with the finance and commercial teams.
  • Partner with cross‐functional stakeholders including Sales, Product, Operations, and HR to align strategic plans with financial goals.
  • Confidently work alongside and interface with key stakeholders including the CEO, board of directors and prospective investors.
  • Create transparency and accountability through improved forecasting accuracy, variance analysis, and business insights.
  • Help embed a performance‐driven culture by aligning financial targets with company OKRs.
  • Support integration of acquisitions, especially in aligning reporting structures and systems between the US and UK entities.
  • Continually improve and automate reporting processes and tools (e.g., via Excel, ERP system (Iplicit), and other BI tools).

What we are looking for

Must have:

  • Proven FP&A experience (5+ years), ideally in a high‐growth, multi‐entity or international organization.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate financial insights into business strategy.
  • Expert Excel modelling and financial planning skills; experience with planning tools and systems a plus.
  • Deep understanding of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and working capital dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; capable of influencing prospective investors and working on transactions with the FM&A team.
  • Analytical mindset with a bias for action and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Experience navigating dual‐region (UK/US) finance structures or multiple revenue models.

Good to have:

  • Experience in corporate finance, including building financial models at an accounting or advisory firm (e.g. PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, BDO, Grant Thornton, or similar), is highly desirable.
  • Experience in edtech, retail, SaaS, ecommerce Fintech or education services.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and modern BI tools.
  • ACA/CIMA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous exposure to PE‐backed or VC‐backed environments.

Benefits

Our benefits are all aimed at supporting a healthy work‐life balance and cultivating a company culture where you can bring your whole, human self to work. Here's what we offer:

  • 35 holiday per year - yes, that's not a typo!
  • Your birthday off
  • 12 scheduled company wellness Fridays off per year
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity allowance
  • Flexible working hours - we’re a remote team spread across the US, the EU, and even Australia!
