About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of Colossyan, including financial planning, analysis, and reporting. You will lead and mentor the Finance team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. This role offers excellent exposure to all areas of the business, including (but not limited to) working closely with the Chief of Staff on strategic initiatives, partnering with the VP of Sales on revenue management, and collaborating with the VP of Marketing on pipeline growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget and long-range strategic plan. Work closely with department heads to create accurate financial forecasts and track progress.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Provide clear and concise reports to the leadership team.
- Investment Evaluation: Evaluate potential investment opportunities and help make decisions about how to allocate our resources, including exploring options for raising equity or debt.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team. Create a positive and productive work environment where team members can grow and succeed.
- Revenue Management: Partner with the VP of Sales to manage revenue, track sales commissions, analyse sales performance, and optimize revenue streams.
- Pipeline Management: Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to analyse marketing spend, track lead generation, and forecast sales pipeline.
- Budget Management: Hold teams accountable for their budget adherence, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements, including international taxes and consolidation & reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and guidance.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Experience leading and developing a team is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Demonstrable experience with international consolidations and compliance.
- Familiarity with revenue and customer management software (e.g., CRM, subscription management tools).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to different audiences.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working in high-growth companies.
- Strong background in FP&A.
- Experience supporting a business through a funding round / exit.
- Experience working with international teams, particularly in North America and Central/Eastern Europe.
