We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Prepress Operator to manage high-volume InDesign mechanicals, image correction, and print-ready file production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and production readiness across all files in a fast-paced print production environment. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in prepress workflows, digital imaging, and Photoshop retouching, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage high volumes of Adobe InDesign mechanical files, ensuring accuracy and production readiness
- Update layouts with color-corrected and retouched images for print production
- Prepare and export print-ready PDFs for approval and final output
- Perform advanced image editing, color correction, and retouching in Adobe Photoshop
- Ensure proper use of file formats, resolution standards, and color profiles across all output types
- Maintain consistency across large batches of images and production files
- Collaborate with prepress, production, and creative teams to meet tight deadlines
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy before final print output
- Track file status including incoming, in-progress, and approved-for-print jobs
- Support understanding of printing, finishing, lamination, and cutting workflows (preferred)
Qualifications
