We are currently seeking a Technical Director for the EMEA region who will sit on the EMEA Regional Leadership Team. This executive role leads regional technical teams, aligns global strategy with regional execution, and drives technical excellence across the region.

Job Focus

  • Drive the performance and success of the technical teams in the EMEA region.
  • Develop a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Translate global strategy across SBUs into regional execution and drive accountability through KPIs and governance.
  • Build scalable technical capability frameworks.
  • Provide external technical leadership by representing Colorcon at external industry events.
  • Build and maintain high-level technical relationships with key customers and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure safety, quality, compliance and data integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8‑10 years of senior technical leadership experience with a strong customer‑focus mindset.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a pharmaceutical‑related science.
  • Proven ability in people management and team development.
  • Strong technical credibility in pharmaceutical or excipient technologies.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to convert enterprise goals into technical organisational capabilities and actionable technical initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and demonstrated experience leading change.
  • AI application and data fluency for decision making.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in another language is a plus.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the EMEA market.

Location & Travel

  • Location: Dartford, United Kingdom (Flagship House, Victory Way, Crossways, Dartford, DA6 0QD).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
