  • Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in FSP Student Leadership Council meetings, guiding the direction of the Fostering Success Program and supporting Colorado initiatives to improve opportunity for independent students to access higher education.
  • Attend FSP Student Leadership Council overnight retreat from Friday 9/18–Saturday 9/19.

Engage in Trauma Informed Presenting Training, developing knowledge on trauma informed approaches to build leadership skills and strategic sharing for facilitating speaking opportunities.

  • Assist in leading Independent Student Visit Day on Friday 11/6, sharing the message that college is a possibility with 9th‑12th grade students.
  • Hours

This is a leadership opportunity with trainings, meetings and presenting opportunities throughout the academic year.

The hours are minimal, averaging less than 1 hour per week.

The duration of this role is from August 2026 through May 2027.

Qualifications Of Facilitators

  • Be a current CSU student and member of the Fostering Success Program.
  • Display willingness to learn and grow through the position.
  • Demonstrate ability to share ideas and present information to groups.
  • Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and interest in building community.
  • Ability to commit to regular meetings and activities for the duration of the position.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals.
