About the role
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months reporting directly to the National Business Lead. You will be responsible for maintaining existing business, managing key accounts effectively and developing new business. The ideal candidate will need to live on territory; ideal locations will be Bristol, Portsmouth, Southampton, Devon or Cornwall. This is a customer‑facing role where having good process and account‑management skills will be essential. You will need to communicate effectively and establish professional relationships with key customers (both clinical and non‑clinical) within NHS Trusts, building strong relationships and maintaining frequent interaction with colleagues across all departments and teams internally. The role is field‑based, so frequent travel, occasional evening work and overnight stays will be required. You will work alongside a Key Account Manager, a Business Development Executive, a Field Nurse and a Clinical Educator to maximise business opportunity within your territory, increase sales and gain new patient registrations to the Atos Care service. Full product, condition and service training will be given; a high level of knowledge of airway and respiratory management is essential to gain credibility and influence at all levels.
Your responsibilities
- To achieve consistent on‑target sales of laryngectomy and tracheostomy products whilst aiming to convert key competitor accounts.
- Promote the Atos Care service to clinicians to gain new patient registrations.
- Increase Lary & Trach Hospital NPA by focusing on early HME adoption and service‑sell.
- Drive penetration of laryngectomy and tracheostomy HMEs through detailing HCPs on wards and in outpatient clinics.
- Build excellent, sustainable customer relationships within all disciplines (ENT/Head & Neck Consultants, SLTs, CNSs, Respiratory Physiotherapists, Nursing staff and Procurement) to maintain and develop existing business.
- Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer contact within the territory, according to organisational strategy and segmentation to achieve territory growth.
- Work in collaboration with other Territory Managers, Key Account Managers, Business Development Executives, Field Nurses, Customer Care Representatives and Clinical Educators to fully optimise sales of products and the Atos Care service to Key Accounts.
- Identify and communicate with the National Business Lead any personal training and development needs to facilitate ongoing education and development.
- Focus on commercial execution and utilise the Salesforce CRM system to maintain up‑to‑date and accurate customer information for the benefit of all territory colleagues.
- Continually analyse territory sales reports and data, detecting any changes that may indicate a threat to accounts, new business or services, for use in account planning.
- Work in accordance with local governance structure, including leading Account Specific Action Plan meetings to communicate plans and progress to the wider team.
- Communicate and collaborate with all colleagues across the Company to promote and sustain a healthy team culture and working environment.
About you
To be successful in the role as Territory Manager you must be self‑motivated, have excellent product knowledge and be an excellent communicator. You will also have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical or device sales.
- A thirst for learning and sharing ideas.
