What is the role responsible for?

Billing is a vital andcomplexpartofourbusiness.As a Graduate BillingDataAnalyst,you’llbe workingin the heart of our business, in a friendly team which is delivering an industry leading standard of support to our customers.

Our work is a mixture of essential monthly billing tasksanddevelopmentwork. For a fewdayseach month the focus is on executing the monthly billing processes, but a lot of our time is spent on improving those processes, adding to them to incorporate new products and services, investigating anomalies in their outputs, and resolving them.We have autonomy over our processes andareresponsible forseeing them through from start to finish.

We’rea complex business with multiple products,clientsand revenue streams, so our billing team handlelarge quantitiesof datafrom a variety of sources. Wetake raw data and transform it into clear understandable information to send outto our various stakeholders, bethat customers,ourSales,Commercial,Accounts andProductteams or thebusiness as a whole.

What will you be doing day-to-day?

Here are a few examples of what you could be involved with:

• Using tools such as SQL, Python and Power BI, to produce consolidated and accuratebilling information for our customersand the wider business.
• Thetimelyreconciliation of suppler invoices.Sharing your understanding of the trends and varianceswithin the data toour accounts team.
• Provide clear and concise reports and be able to demonstratean understanding of the data containedwithin.
• You’llbe working with our commercial and product teams, understanding the offers they have built for our customers and how these translate to Billing.
• Continually developing and improving the completeness and efficiency of billing tasks, in conjunction with the wider Billing team.
• Ensuring that all process documentation is up to date and that knowledge is shared sufficiently within the team to provide a resilient service.

What you’ll bring

You don’t need experience in everything listed—but we’re especially keen to hear from people with some of the following skills:

• We deal with large and complex data sets, soyou’llbe naturallynumerate
• A solid academic background in a STEM subject is strongly preferred. Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biological Science graduates have traditionally performed well in this role, but we welcome applicants from areas like Data Science, Economics, Engineering and Computer Science.
• You are likely to have strong skills in Excel or SQL.Experienceor knowledge of Python,Power BI, GITor JIRAwould be ofuse, butwe willhelp youto develop all these skills when you are in the role.
• Goodtechnicalproblem-solvingskills–you’llenjoy the challenge of working out how to make things work.
• You’llbegreat at working with others tomake things happen and resolve issues.
• You’llhave strong attention to detail
• You will beabletounderstandcomplex concepts and be confidentaboutaskingquestions to deepen your understanding.
• Based in our central London offices (near to Liverpool Street), thisis a hybrid role, andyou’llberequiredin the office 3 days a week.
