About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified SEN Teacher to work full time across a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in Birmingham. This role is ideal for an experienced SEN professional who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a positive impact on their educational journey. You will be working in specialist SEN settings that support pupils with a variety of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and complex needs. Each school provides a supportive, inclusive environment focused on helping pupils achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to meet individual pupil needs
- Support pupils with a range of SEN in line with EHCPs
- Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Minimum of 6 months' experience working with children in the UK
- Proven SEN experience (school-based)
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Ability to work full time
- Willingness to travel to SEN schools across Birmingham
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
