We are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated PRU Teacher to join a specialist alternative provision in Telford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who require additional support to re‑engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will be confident in managing challenging behaviour, building positive relationships, and delivering engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners.
The Role
- Deliver high‑quality lessons across your subject specialism.
- Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils to encourage attendance, engagement, and achievement.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of student achievement and behaviour.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent).
- Previous experience teaching within a PRU, alternative provision, SEN setting, or working with pupils with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build rapport with hard‑to‑reach learners.
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
