- Learning Support Assistant β SEN / ASC

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Tamworth that supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of additional learning needs.
The Role
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Working closely with students with ASC and additional learning needs.
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social development.
- Assisting with classroom activities and tailored learning programmes.
- Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence.
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting students throughout the school day.
- Working alongside teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within SEN, education, care, support work or a similar setting is desirable.
- Experience supporting individuals with ASC or additional needs is advantageous.
- A patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
- Available to work full-time and start as soon as possible.
