Our client, a friendly and well-established mainstream secondary school in Tamworth, is seeking a creative and motivated Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department through our education recruitment agency.

The Role:

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop essential life skills, creativity, and a strong understanding of nutrition, food preparation, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Food Technology to KS3 and KS4 students

*

Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons

*

Ensure high standards of health and safety within the food technology classroom

*

Assess student work and track progress effectively

*

Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

*

Contribute to departmental planning and development

Requirements:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

*

Experience teaching Food Technology or related subjects at secondary level

*

Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations

*

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

*

Enhanced xiskglj DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
