We are currently recruiting for a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Shrewsbury. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a creative and ambitious department that encourages students to develop their musical skills, confidence and appreciation for music across a range of genres and styles.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop both practical and theoretical knowledge while fostering a love for the subject.
The Role- Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire student participation and achievement.
- Support students in developing performance, composition and listening skills.
- Prepare students for GCSE Music examinations where applicable.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, including concerts, performances and music clubs.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
