Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding position in the Kings Heath area? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join one of our specialist SEN schools, supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs.

SEN schools provide tailored education for pupils with diverse needs such as autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, learning disabilities, sensory needs, and complex communication difficulties. The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential part in supporting pupils both one-to-one and in small group settings. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils with personalised learning plans
- Helping develop communication, independence, and emotional regulation
- Adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs
- Implementing positive behaviour strategies and supporting de-escalation
- Assisting with sensory activities, routines, and transitions
- Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress
- Supporting pupils’ physical or personal care needs where appropriate
- Ensuring a safe, calm, and nurturing learning environment

Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- At least 6 months’ experience working in UK schools
- Previous experience working in an SEN school setting
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- The ability to travel to the Kings Heath area reliably
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
