About the Role

Colmore Education is working in partnership with a well-established mainstream secondary school to recruit an experienced and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. Please note: Previous experience supporting students in a mainstream secondary school is essential for this role. Applications without this experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties)
  • Support students in accessing the secondary curriculum across a range of subjects
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
  • Promote positive behaviour and support students with emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
