As a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
- Help implement EHCP targets and individual support plans
- Encourage independence and confidence in pupils
- Assist with personal care where required
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have at least 6 months’ experience working in UK schools
- Have experience supporting children with SEN (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD or similar)
- Be available full-time (Monday to Friday, term time)
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Be adaptable, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
