Colmore Education is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join a warm and supportive SEN school in Harborne from January. This is a long-term position, and the successful candidate must be available Monday to Friday during term time.
Position: Lunchtime Supervisor
Location: Harborne, Birmingham
Start Date: January
Hours: Part-time (lunchtime hours), 5 days per week
Contract: Long-term, ongoing through the agency
About the Role
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs during the lunchtime period. The school prides itself on its nurturing environment and is looking for someone reliable, patient and committed to the well-being of the children.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising pupils in the dining hall, playground and indoor areas
- Supporting children with SEN such as ASD, SLD and complex needs
- Encouraging positive social interaction and independence
- Managing behaviour calmly and consistently
- Working as part of the wider school team to maintain a safe, structured environment
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months’ experience working in UK schools (essential)
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN
- Must be available Monday to Friday
- A calm, caring and proactive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding
