1:1 Teaching Assistant needed - Stechford
I am working with a mainstream school in the Stechford area who are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child who has Autism and can be challenging at times. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year experience working with children with additional needs. This position is to start with immediate effect and will commence until further notice. The school comes with a reputation of having very supportive management and a close-knit team.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you must:
- Have minimum 6 months experience working with children with Autism.
- Have patience, a calm nature and be able to adapt to any situation.
- Makaton would be desired but not mandatory.
- Have experience working with outside agencies for assessments of the child.
