The Role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Asset Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified surveyor who is ready to take on responsibility for a diverse portfolio of commercial assets.

You will work closely with senior team members to drive performance and maximise value across the portfolio, with exposure to every stage of the investment cycle, including acquisition, interaction with equity and debt capital, asset repositioning, day-to-day asset management and eventual disposal.

This role is full time in our office in Birmingham city centre and on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance of a diverse portfolio of predominantly commercial real estate assets.
  • Develop and execute asset business plans to enhance value and income growth.
  • Lead on lease negotiations, rent reviews, renewals, and regears, working closely with external agents and solicitors.
  • Identify and deliver value-add initiatives, including capex projects and ESG improvements.
  • Prepare and present regular reporting and analysis to senior management and investors.
  • Support the team with acquisitions, including due diligence and integration of new assets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and professional advisers.

Essential requirements

  • Relevant experience in commercial real estate.
  • Strong understanding of leases, landlord and tenant matters, and property law.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Diligent and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach.
  • RICS qualified or the equivalent experience.
