We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Case Manager to join our Medical Assistance team. In this role, you will provide clinical assessment, medical advice, and case management support for international patients. You will work closely with global healthcare providers, insurers, and operational teams to ensure safe and appropriate medical outcomes, including patient repatriation where required. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical decision-making while supporting operational efficiency and cost containment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex international medical assistance cases from assessment through resolution
- Liaise with hospitals, doctors, insurers, and policyholders worldwide
- Review medical reports and provide timely, evidence-based clinical recommendations
- Monitor ongoing cases to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate care delivery
- Provide guidance on medical repatriation, including transport and escort requirements
- Coordinate admissions to UK NHS facilities when appropriate
- Support selection and coordination of medical escorts for patient transfers
- Maintain accurate, timely and compliant case documentation
- Escalate cases to Chief Nursing Officer / Chief Medical Officer / Duty Doctor when required
- Support clinical governance and adherence to internal and professional standards
- Assist in maintaining medical equipment and repatriation supplies
- Manage and prioritise your own caseload effectively in a fast-paced environment
About You
You are a confident and experienced nurse with strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills. You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable making autonomous decisions while working as part of a global team.
Essential Requirements
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience
- Background in acute care (A&E, ICU or CCU essential)
- Evidence of ongoing CPD and professional compliance
- Strong IT and documentation skills
- Professional indemnity via RCN or equivalent body
