Marketing Communications and Events Manager, Global
Join to apply for the Marketing Communications and Events Manager, Global role at Collinson.
Purpose of the role
This global position will work closely with the Head of Marketing Communications and Senior PR and Communications Manager to support the delivery of a refreshed, impactful marketing communications strategy that (critically) supports core business objectives. Empowered to make a difference, breaking free from legacy working practices will be fundamental.
A core focus will be on building and protecting our core brands – particularly Priority Pass – through creating and delivering a global event, executive profiling and brand partnerships strategy that serves to elevate brand awareness and credibility amongst key B2B and B2C audiences, in focus markets.
In line with the content and PR strategy, the event strategy will serve as a key channel through which executive profiling efforts will be brought to life – further positioning them as inspiring thought leaders – while helping commercial teams build closer relations with clients and prospects.
Aligned to core business objectives, the event strategy will feature sponsored industry events, Collinson-hosted client events, media roundtables as well as hospitality engagements for key global accounts. Devising and advising on an effective event framework for our regional marketing teams to leverage will be important to ensure quality and consistency in approach.
The role will also help define our approach to wider brand activations tied to our communication pillar of sport and wellness, alongside Brand and Marketing teams, e.g. brand engagement activities at global sporting events, sponsored by key clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with the creation and delivery of a global event and hospitality strategy – including regional event framework – alongside the Head of Marketing Communications – that enables the brand to engage with key clients and prospects in a meaningful way. Be it sponsorship of an industry event, a media roundtable, or a client event with our top global accounts – the plan will help align key stakeholders behind a focused approach.
- Align with the Senior PR and Communications Manager to leverage events as a channel through which to position select C-Suite employees as informed, inspired and engaging thought leaders through event speaking opportunities.
- Work with key industry event organisers to secure impactful sponsorship packages that meet objectives and budget allowances.
- Manage activations at sponsored industry events, to ensure our brand presence is as impactful as possible – owning the wrap-around strategy to drive booth footfall, lead generation and brand awareness efforts pre, during and post-event (aligned to the specific objectives of the event).
- Manage the event strategy for Global Collinson-run events, including alignment with commercial teams (from strategy, to venue sourcing, to content, to briefings, to lead management and nurturing).
- Work closely with the Brand and Marketing teams, and Head of Marketing Communications, to conceive a global brand partnership strategy designed to help bring our core communication pillar around sports and wellness to life, while elevating Priority Pass’ position as an aspirational lifestyle benefit. Considerations should include brand advocate engagement and sporting event sponsorship or hosting.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Strong experience in a marketing, communications or events-related role. Event management experience is essential.

- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic and growing business.
- Ability to demonstrate ROI and learnings from the ownership of marketing plans, activities and budget.
- Self-motivated with high level of initiative and strong sense of ownership.
