Responsible for the definition, documentation and successful completion of projects that may have significant business, political, or high-profile impact and high-risk dependencies, ensuring that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained. Ensure projects remain within acceptable, agreed tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Managing significant/complex projects or running multiple lower complexity projects concurrently.
- Being responsible for all aspects of projects from initiation through to completion and handover to operation.
- Applying the relevant standards and methodology to be used in a project β in line with corporate guidelines.
- Agreeing roles and responsibilities with the project team and key stakeholders.
- Managing key stakeholder and sponsor expectations.
- Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Producing realistic and coherent project schedules.
- Assembling and managing project resources.
- Monitoring and tracking project progress and deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Submitting high-quality progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensuring project scope is controlled.
- Managing project budgets and flagging significant variances.
- Ensuring appropriate project documentation is produced and published.
- Identification and effective mitigation of project risk.
- Identifying and resolving issues β constantly on the lookout for potential problems.

Knowledge, skills and experience
- Project management qualification such as Prince2 or PMP.
- Strong knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
- Excellent risk identification and management.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in all aspects of project financials from estimation to forecasting and status reporting.
- Experience of working with waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Experience of leading multi-disciplined development teams, including managing external vendors and agencies providing services for projects.
