Purpose of the Role
As the Senior Finance Assistant, you will sit within the Invoice/Premium and Claims Processing team, maintaining and resolving any invoicing, premium and claims issues, reconciling differences and managing specific clients end‑to‑end.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the invoice processing assistant team, managing third‑party premium and claims data and recording sales into ledgers.
- Support onboarding of new partners, setting up customer accounts, templates and reference data for premium and claims BDX processing.
- Collaborate with Finance Reporting to ensure all premium and claims records reported in SAP are complete and accurate, maintaining a tracker for month‑end accruals processing.
- Own debtor management, posting premium and commission records accurately, settling cash within credit terms and resolving partner reconciling issues in a timely manner; restate aging balances as needed.
- Update and maintain GL balance sheet reconciliations, resolving reconciling items promptly.
- Provide audit support for manually processed premium and claims BDX.
- Review invoice processing procedures, proposing improvements for implementation with the Invoice and Reconciliation Supervisor.
- Cover bank and cash reconciliations for premium sold directly by Collinson and support the Senior Reconciliation Assistant.
- Support UAT for the Insurance Data Lake (IDL) and the accounting platform as required.
- Assist the Invoice and Reconciliations Supervisor with arising matters and cover for other team members as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Advanced MS Excel skills; other office applications a bonus.
- Experience working in deadline‑driven environments.
- Minimum of 5 GCSE/O‑level qualifications, including English and Mathematics.
- Experience in multi‑currency environments.
- Knowledge of the Finance reporting system SAP.
- High‑volume data input experience.
- Experience dealing with stakeholders whose first language may not be English.
- Holding or studying for accountancy qualifications.
