Purpose of the role:

As part of this, we are establishing a new Transformation team and require a Business Analyst to support in the delivery of key initiatives. The Business Analyst will be part of a dynamic resource pool, with the flexibility to be allocated to different projects across various business areas within the organisation. Whilst the primary focus will be on delivering one project at a time, the candidate should be prepared to bring their expertise to different areas as needed, building up, and leveraging a comprehensive understanding of our operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be experienced in process re-engineering and highly adept at managing stakeholders, acting as an intermediary between business and technology stakeholders and helping co-design solutions that meet business needs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Requirement gathering: Facilitate the elicitation of business requirements and documentation through workshops and/or interviews across various levels of the business and/or client. Develop and maintain a requirements traceability matrix.
  • Process mapping: Conduct detailed analysis of current business processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Work with the business to produce detailed process maps and workflows to illustrate current and future state processes. Produce/collate additional documentation required to help build a common understanding of as-is processes and/or opportunity areas.
  • Solution design and implementation: Assist the business/solution architects with understanding requirements and process business queries. Assist in project handover to BAU and Support Services teams via delivery of handover documentation and handover session.
  • Change Management: Support the Change Lead with completing the change impact assessment, incorporating process changes into training development and explaining what’s changed in communications.
  • Stakeholder management: Establish and maintain sound working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, SMEs, project team members, 3rd Party Vendors etc.
  • Project Management: Support the Project Manager by feeding into the project plan, reporting progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues and communicating dependencies.

Role requirements:

  • 3-5 years relevant working experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience in industry standard delivery methodologies (in particular with Waterfall and Agile).
  • Experience producing a wide variety of documents such as requirement specification documents, functional specification documents, requirements traceability matrix etc.
  • Experience with process mapping software (e.g. Microsoft Visio).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and Tableau.
