Purpose of the Job
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to join Collinson’s global Legal team. Based in Singapore, this senior role will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and acting as a trusted business partner across all areas of the Group, with a particular focus on corporate matters and complex commercial contracts.
This is a high-profile position supporting senior stakeholders and business-critical teams, offering exposure to a wide variety of international legal and commercial issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate Matters – Advise on and manage a broad spectrum of corporate projects, including joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, financing and investment arrangements, corporate governance, and group-wide processes.
- Commercial Contracts – Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts across the business, including master service agreements, sales agreements, framework agreements, SaaS contracts, licensing, merchant agreements, and goods/services arrangements.
- Business Partnering – Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and business leaders at all stages of the contracting lifecycle, from RFIs and RFPs through to ongoing management, renewals, and dispute resolution.
- Travel Experiences Support – Provide specialist support to the Travel Experiences team, including negotiations with card networks, airport lounges, and direct customers.
- Advisory & Risk Management – Provide pragmatic advice on a wide range of commercial and operational matters, including compliance, procurement, data protection, litigation, employment law, and internal policies.
- Knowledge Management – Contribute to continuous improvement by developing precedent templates, practical guidance, and delivering internal training to the business.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Qualified solicitor with 6+ years’ PQE gained in a global in-house role and/or in a leading law firm.
- Significant experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex English law based corporate and commercial contracts independently.
- Strong track record advising on corporate matters such as M&A, joint ventures, and financing arrangements.
- Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and provide clear, pragmatic advice.
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders, including board-level executives, on high-value and strategic matters.
- Strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Collaborative, solutions-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
- A proactive, resilient, and positive mindset, with a sense of humour and a team-first approach
