Purpose of the job
The Senior Financial Accountant will work within the Insurance finance team of the Collinson Group. They will work as an integral part of the finance team with the Financial Reporting Manager, supporting the production of monthly management accounts, the statutory accounts and regulatory reporting and being key points of contact during the audit process. The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Financial Reporting Manager in reviewing the monthly management accounts for accuracy of the results. They will support any process/ system changes within the team and ensure a strong and effective control environment exists with a specific emphasis on improving month end close and associated reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- The Senior Financial Accountant will deputise for the Finance Reporting Manager and support the wider team when needed, ensuring a collaboration across the deliverables.
- Support the Financial Reporting Manager to establish and maintain high quality and timely management accounts.
- Review of period related P&L.
