As a Research Manager, you will support the delivery of high-quality, insight-led research that underpins business decision-making across Collinson. Working as part of the central research hub, you will own the execution of day-to-day research initiatives while supporting Senior Research Managers on global and strategically critical programmes. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, ensuring research is rigorous, efficient, and actionable, while contributing to a consistent and scalable global research approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of day-to-day research initiatives, ensuring research is well-designed, methodologically sound, and insight-led.
- Support Senior Researchers on global or strategically critical research programmes, contributing to research design, execution, analysis, and synthesis.
- Develop research briefs, questionnaires, discussion guides, and analysis plans aligned to business objectives.
- Execute quantitative research projects, including survey scripting, fieldwork management, data analysis, and reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders across product, marketing, commercial, and partnerships teams to understand research needs and translate them into robust research approaches.
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders on BAU research requests, providing guidance on feasibility, timelines, and methodology.
- Manage research vendors on assigned projects, including briefing, quality assurance, and delivery management.
- Ensure research is conducted in line with ethical standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
- Translate research findings into clear, compelling insights and practical recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Contribute to maintaining a central repository of research outputs, ensuring findings are accessible and reusable.
- Support consistency in measurement approaches and identify opportunities to improve efficiency or consolidate recurring research.
- Adapt priorities and focus areas in response to evolving business needs.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Experience delivering research projects in a commercial, consultancy, or agency environment.
- Strong grounding in quantitative research methodologies; qualitative exposure a plus.
- Experience with survey scripting and analysis tools (e.g. Qualtrics); exposure to statistical tools (e.g. Excel, Python, or R) beneficial.
- Ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills.
- Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent research initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Understanding of research ethics and adherence to relevant codes of conduct (e.g. MRS, Insights Association, or equivalent).
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable working with guidance in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Degree-qualified or equivalent relevant research experience.
- Experience in travel, loyalty, fintech, or consumer-facing industries is a plus.
