What Does a Delivery Manager do:
The Delivery Manager ensures the predictable, high-quality delivery of products and initiatives by coordinating cross-functional teams, removing delivery risks, and establishing clear governance across the delivery lifecycle. The role requires exceptional organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills to oversee the scoping, planning, and execution of cross-functional initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Planning and dependencies – work with workstream leads to build a project plan outlining key activities and milestones whilst identifying and tracking key internal/external dependencies.
- Resourcing – work with workstream leads to understand resource requirements ensuring relevant stakeholders are aware of demand for each of their teams.
- Delivery – monitor individual workstream performance against the plan, challenge slippage, and help define and implement mitigations.
- Risk and issue management – review the risks and issues experienced by the workstream leads and elevate as needed to the Project Sponsor and/or Steering Committee.
- Governance – facilitate relevant governance forums and the distribution and closure of relevant actions and decisions.
- Stakeholder management – establish strong working relationships with different stakeholder groups.
- Team leadership – oversee the work of the Workstream Leads.
- Reporting – collate reports from Workstream Leads to build a view of programme progress.
- PM community – be an active member of the PM Community, sharing insights and experience to help raise standards across the organisation.

- Previous experience of working successfully with Change Managers
- Previous experience of delivering both standalone projects and projects that form part of a wider programme
- External certifications in Project Management desirable but not essential (e.g. Prince2 or APM)
- Experience and understanding of Lean Six Sigma is desirable but not essential
- Experience and understanding of SaaS solutions is desirable but not essential.
