As Head of Product, Commerce & Marketplace, you will set the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Collinson’s commerce platform and marketplace. You will oversee product catalogue, pricing, bookings, order management, and checkout across B2B and B2C journeys, ensuring transactions feel effortless on web, app, and partner channels. You will grow our marketplace by integrating third‑party, travel‑adjacent services such as fast‑track security, parking, baggage wrap, and other airport services, creating a joined‑up experience for customers before, during, and after travel. You will lead a team of Product Managers and work closely with engineering, UX, data, commercial, and partnership teams to deliver scalable, API‑driven capabilities that perform at global scale.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Define and own the product roadmap for commerce, pricing, marketplace, bookings, and order management, aligned with Collinson’s commercial and customer goals.
- Design a scalable platform that supports subscriptions and one‑time purchases across B2B and B2C use cases, including partner white‑label journeys.
- Enable dynamic pricing, bundling, cross‑sell, and discounting capabilities in partnership with commercial, finance, and data teams.
- Expand the marketplace ecosystem by integrating travel‑adjacent services through robust API and partner integrations.
- Own the order management and checkout experience, including payment optimisation, fraud prevention, refunds, and post‑purchase flows.
Product execution and delivery:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers to deliver against roadmap outcomes and capability milestones.
- Partner with engineering to design and deliver resilient, secure, API‑first commerce infrastructure that can support global scale and high performance.
- Collaborate with UX and research to create intuitive booking, checkout, and account experiences that are inclusive and easy to use across devices.
- Prioritise work to balance near‑term feature delivery with long‑term platform health, scalability, and technical debt management.
Data‑driven and customer‑centred decisions:
- Define success metrics for commerce and marketplace capabilities, including adoption, conversion, retention, and revenue.
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights (user research, funnel analytics, A/B tests, market and competitor analysis) to inform priorities and product decisions.
- Partner with commercial and finance teams to monitor performance and continuously optimise pricing, packaging, and promotions.
Leadership and influence:
- Act as a visible, trusted product leader for commerce and marketplace across Collinson, championing a clear product vision and measurable outcomes.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with engineering, UX, data, commercial, partnerships, operations, and regional teams to deliver end‑to‑end value.
- Represent Collinson’s commerce and marketplace strategy with senior stakeholders, clients, and external partners where needed.
What you’ll bring:
- Extensive product management experience in commerce, marketplace, or travel‑related products, including ownership of complex transactional journeys.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring Product Managers, creating a high‑performing, inclusive product culture.
- Strong expertise in API‑driven platforms and partner integrations, ideally in a multi‑tenant or white‑label context.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering scalable commerce, order management, and checkout solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience across both B2B and B2C models, including subscriptions and one‑off transactions.
- Technical fluency that allows you to work closely with engineering teams, understand complex systems, and make informed trade‑offs.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and prioritisation skills, with a disciplined approach to experimentation and measurement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and bring people with you through change.
Helpful background:
- Experience in travel, airport services, loyalty, or hospitality‑related commerce.
- Familiarity with payment gateways, fraud and risk controls, dynamic pricing, and marketplace monetisation models.
