We are thrilled to be working with a Lettings and Property management company based in the City of London (Moorgate station). They’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit team and support the finance and property management functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s detail-oriented, proactive, and has experience in property accounts. To be successful you must have experience in lettings account management.
Key Responsibilities:- Processing rental income, tenant deposits, and landlord payments
- Processing rental income for both short-term lettings and long-term lettings
- Raising invoices on Xero
- Reconciling bank statements and lettings accounts
- Handling supplier invoices and arranging contractor payments
- Preparing monthly landlord statements and resolving financial queries
- Collaborating closely with property management and lettings teams, taking on some Office Management duties
- Supporting with year-end accounts and ad-hoc financial reporting
- Ensuring all processes align with client money protection and lettings regulations
- Previous experience in lettings or property accounts, minimum 2 years
- Tech savvy – Proficient in property management/accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and solid numerical skills
- Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear and confident communicator
- Knowledge of UK lettings compliance is a plus
