Collins Property Recruitment is recruiting for an award-winning block management company that is seeking an experienced Block Manager to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of residential blocks and estates across London and the Home Counties. This is a pivotal role within the business, suited to a confident Block Manager with proven experience managing High-Risk Buildings (HRBs), strong client-facing skills, and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential due to regular site visits.
The Role:
- Acting as the main point of contact for a portfolio of residential blocks, including HRB sites.
- Carrying out regular site inspections, producing reports, and ensuring actions are completed.
- Chairing Directors meetings and AGMs, providing clear technical and regulatory guidance.
- Managing risk, compliance, and building safety obligations, with particular focus on HRB requirements.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with Directors, residents, and key stakeholders.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in block management, including hands-on HRB/Building Safety Act compliance.
- Strong written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
- Strong numeracy and confidence working with service charge budgets and financial data.
- Competent IT skills; experience with block management software is highly desirable.
- Commercially aware with a professional and adaptable communication style.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in block management.
- At least 1 year of managing your own portfolio.
- Demonstrable experience managing High-Risk Buildings (HRBs).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Undergraduate degree (preferred).
