Collins Property Recruitment is working with a well-established, growing property management company that is seeking to appoint an Assistant Block Manager to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in Block Management, or for a Property Manager looking to transition into Block Management and build a long-term career in a supportive, professional environment.
As Assistant Block Manager, you will support the Senior Block Managers in overseeing a portfolio of residential blocks, ensuring high standards of maintenance, compliance, and customer service are delivered at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to block management within a structured and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Block Manager:- Assisting in the management of a portfolio of residential blocks.
- Acting as a key point of contact for leaseholders, landlords, and contractors.
- Coordinating maintenance works, repairs, and statutory compliance.
- Supporting with preparation for and attendance at AGMs and residents meetings.
- Assisting with service charge budgets and expenditure tracking.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and lease obligations.
- Liaising with surveyors, managing agents, contractors, and freeholders.
- Supporting with general administration and portfolio reporting.
- Experience within Block Management preferred, or a Property Manager keen to transition into Block Management.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Understanding of leases, service charges, and property legislation (desirable).
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Salary up to £27,000 (depending on experience).
