Collins Property Recruitment is currently working with a Lettings and property management company based in the City of London (Moorgate station). They are looking for an Accounts Manager to join their close-knit team and support the finance and property management functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and has experience in property accounts, especially within the lettings space.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Manager:

  • Processing rental income, tenant deposits, and landlord payments.
  • Processing rental income for both short-term lettings and long-term lettings.
  • Raising invoices on Xero.
  • Reconciling bank statements and lettings accounts.
  • Handling supplier invoices and arranging contractor payments.
  • Preparing monthly landlord statements and resolving financial queries.
  • Collaborating closely with property management and lettings teams, taking on some Office Management duties.
  • Supporting with year-end accounts and ad-hoc financial reporting.
  • Ensuring all processes align with client money protection and lettings regulations.

Ideal Candidate for the Accounts Manager:

  • Previous experience in lettings or property accounts, minimum 2 years.
  • Tech savvy and proficient in property management/accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid numerical skills.
  • Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Clear and confident communicator.
  • Knowledge of UK lettings compliance is a plus.
