As an Assistant Bar and Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a very well-established Gastro Pub, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and customer service. You will lead the team in the absence of senior management, manage stock control, monitor waste, handle customer feedback and complaints, and assist with the online booking system. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, running end-of-day reports, and ensuring menus are accurate and presentable. Your role includes delegating tasks, monitoring staff performance, and promoting an ethos of excellence throughout the venue.
About You
- Proven experience in bar and restaurant management, ideally within a fine dining restaurant or pub setting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide your team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact effectively with both staff and customers.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage, including beverage trends, wines, and spirits.
- Experience using restaurant management POS systems.
