This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Sous to work closely with an experienced Head Chef at a prominent cultural and heritage venue in Central London. Average of 48 hours per week - including weekends. 10% wage bonus if targets are hit. Must only work on average 2 nights a month. Early starts/early finishes. As Senior Sous Chef, you'll be instrumental in the overall running of the kitchen, overseeing production for up to 800+ covers, and taking full responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. You'll work with quality ingredients. Everything is made in-house to a high standard. You'll have the opportunity to work with the Head Chef and contribute ideas for new menus.
The Person
- Previous experience as a Senior Sous/Sous Chef within busy production kitchens is needed.
- An inspiring leader who will mentor, develop and help to retain a close-knit team of 10-12 Chefs.
- Your organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail will be vital in maintaining excellence.
- Good financial awareness with experience of ordering and rota writing.
- Proficient training in Food Safety, Health.
