An opportunity has arisen for a Head Chef to join an independently owned hotel and conference venue, working closely with the new owners. Sponsorship opportunity available for Skilled Workers already in the UK. Accommodation available at a very reasonable rate.

This is a 7-day operation, entailing a mixture of shifts (circa 45 hours per week). This is perfect for a Head Chef looking for somewhere to showcase their style of cooking and build a great reputation for themselves, whilst continuing to raise the profile of an ambitious establishment.

You will oversee the full food offering and menus for an all-day restaurant, room service, bar and a variety of events up to 200+ covers. The Head Chef will have full responsibility for costing, managing the GP, ordering, stock control, training and development of a team of 8, supported by casual Chefs as needed.

The Person

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef within reputable establishments and some time spent working within a multi-outlet hotel is desired.
  • An inspiring leader who will develop, train and help to retain a team, working between different sections.
  • Proficient training in Food Safety, Health & Safety and HACCP.
  • Good financial awareness with experience of ordering and rota writing.
  • Flexibility to work weekends is required.
