Collins Aerospace is looking for a Skilled Vacuum Braze/Furnace Operator to join our Operations Department within our HS Marston facility in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a total of twelve vacuum furnaces for steel and aluminum brazing.
Responsibilities
- Good knowledge of vacuum furnace brazing control systems and heat exchanger production is an advantage, though training will be provided.
- Work independently, performing regular TPM checks, leak-up checks, and SAT procedures.
- Inspect post/pre braze matrix, heat exchangers, and components.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as ACE activities (5S, TPM, turn-backs, and clinics).
- Maintain traceability of materials and adhere to quality-control standards.
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
- Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements.
Shifts
- Morning: 6:00 AM–1:45 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 6:00 AM–12:00 PM (Friday).
- Afternoon: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 12:15 PM–5:15 PM (Friday).
- Nights: 8:30 PM–6:15 AM (Monday–Thursday).
