As part of our commitment to developing the next generation of Supply Chain and Procurement professionals, we are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Degree Apprentice to join our Power and Control business at our HS Marston facility in the West Midlands.
What you will do
- Assist with raising and managing purchase orders, confirmation tracking, and expediting where required.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery dates, acknowledgements, documentation, and general queries.
- Support RFQ activities, data gathering, cost comparisons, and preparation of tender packs.
- Help maintain supplier files, records, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and cleanse procurement data within SAP and SRM to ensure accuracy.
- Support creation of weekly/monthly performance dashboards (e.g., past due, OTD, shortages, PO status).
- Assist in spend analysis, supplier segmentation, and commodity data reviews.
- Work with the Procurement team on cost-saving trackers and project reporting.
- Support monitoring of supplier delivery and quality performance.
- Assist in preparing materials for supplier meetings, reviews, and business updates.
- Support documentation requirements such as FAIR/FAI packs, contract summaries, and audit readiness.
- Contribute to lean and continuous improvement activities within Procurement (workflow improvements, process mapping, standardisation).
- Help identify inefficiencies in PO processes, communication flows, or reporting, and proposing improvements.
- Participate in SRM and digital-transformation initiatives.
What you will learn
This comprehensive Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship, delivered in partnership with Aston University, is ideally suited to you if you are motivated, diligent, and excited by a career in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or Operations within the Aerospace sector. Alongside gaining hands-on experience and exposure across Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Operations you will work towards a BSc Supply Chain Management (Professional Practice) helping to shape a strong foundation for your future career.
Qualifications we prefer
You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail and an organised approach to work. You will be proficient using Microsoft applications and other digital tools and have a great work ethic; previous relevant work experience as well as an awareness of manufacturing or engineering environments and lean or continuous improvement principles would all be of advantage. You will also have obtained 3 A Levels at grade C or above and a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including Mathematics and English (or equivalent level qualifications).
