Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defence industry. At our Plymouth site we design and manufacture products for control, navigation and guidance for surface and air applications. We seek an Industrial Placement student to join our Systems Engineering team for a 12‑month placement starting September 2026.
Responsibilities
- System requirements analysis, generation of requirement specifications and compliance tracking
- All aspects of the product development lifecycle
- Product qualification and testing
- System modelling, algorithm development and data analysis
Qualifications
- Self‑motivated, diligent and excited by STEM subjects
- Studying Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related discipline at university, expected to graduate in 2028
- Interest in product development within military or civil aerospace
- Competent in technical report writing and presentations
- A team player and effective communicator
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritise own work
