We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual to join our team, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This is a key role that will play a vital part in ensuring production targets are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. In this role you will be using your working knowledge of Value Stream Mapping, Operator Load Charts and Standard Work Combination Sheets. You will be responsible for optimisation of manufacturing processes utilising Lean & Toyota principles. This Role will drive towards achieving company operating system (CORE) Professional Status through event leadership opportunities.

  • Lean Factory & Cell Design
  • Value Stream Mapping to develop waste reduction and optimisation strategy
  • Cell Design to implement Waste reduction strategy
  • Standard Work for optimised processes
  • Cost reduction and productivity improvements to reduce waste and balance operations
  • Material delivery strategy for the shop floor back to the supply chain

Process Planning:

  • Tooling development from identification of requirement to design
  • Equipment development from identification of requirement to design including make/buy decision
  • Test Equipment requirement identification (capacity & throughput)
  • Development of manufacturing routing
  • Understanding PFMEA to manage process risks
  • Process Certification to ensure process is stable and under control (capable)
  • Creation of documentation to support manufacturing process
  • Robust implementation planning

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Degree in an Engineering related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable experience of applying Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organisation
  • Experience leading Change Management

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience of MEMS manufacture is preferable
  • Lean Six Sigma green/back belt
