We are seeking to recruit a Demand Manager to join our team within our HS Marston facility, Wolverhampton. This is a hybrid role. The Demand Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the demand process within the aerospace manufacturing sector.
The Demand Manager will create and maintain forecasts for LRU’s and services (i.e., product families), integrating forecast information gathered from the Commercial team and external sources with historical sales data, market trends, and other information that may be available.
The Demand Manager will provide information to the Leadership Team in support of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and will lead the Demand Consensus Meeting each month.
Coordinate with Operations, Finance & Commercial to ensure the forecasting process is finalized to meet the timetable for Pre-S&OP and S&OP meetings.
What You Will Do:
- Coordinate and generate the site sales forecasts (short & long term)
- Ensure demand alignment of internal orderbook to customer schedules.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales input.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather information and insights for accurate demand planning.
- Monitor and analyse demand patterns to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Ensure alignment between demand forecasts and production schedules to optimise inventory levels and minimise stockouts or excess inventory.
- Implement and manage demand planning to enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Lead regular (SIOP Process) demand review meetings with cross‑functional teams to discuss forecast accuracy, demand changes, and action plans.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on demand stability, forecast performance and key metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance demand planning efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales assumptions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements relevant to demand planning in aerospace manufacturing.
- Create and maintain Forecast Profile in Kinaxis Rapid Response.
- Provide input to the Supply Chain organisation in developing desired lead times, customer service levels, and inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase‑outs.
Qualifications / Skills You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/operations/supply chain or equivalent experience
- APICS CPIM certification desired, or a willing to undertake.
- Experience and demonstrated success within a demand management role.
- SLT exposure/presence
- High level of communication and influencing skills, to align all linked functions to support forecasting process.
- Proficiency in SAP Demand Planning and Sales forecasting required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in Sales & Operations Planning Process.
- Knowledge in manufacturing operation systems (ACE/6 Sigma).
