At the Marston Green Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) UK facility, we provide specialist technical support for Electronic Engine Control, Fuel Metering units, Actuators and Pump units widely used in the Aerospace industry.
Responsibilities
- Produce and control detailed investigation plans/activities to investigate electronic engine control units removed from service.
- Produce detailed Investigation reports correlating in-service failures of EECs with MRO findings, identifying accurately potential failure modes, where applicable root cause of failure and remedial action.
- Produce and/or maintain technical documentation controlling repair, test and troubleshooting processes.
- Provide Engineering support to electronics repair technicians to support troubleshooting activities.
- Manage the introduction of change into the business.
- Provide Technical support to customers and Original Equipment Manufacturer.
- Provide Technical support to internal functional areas of the business where required.
- Provide Technical Support to Engine Control Services worldwide repair network.
- Perform Life Assessments on electronics equipment returned from service.
- Management of component obsolescence.
- Provide technical support to electronic focused business improvement project initiatives.
- Support cost reduction and continuous improvement of electronic repair processes.
- Comply with the EH&S Policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience
Required: You will hold a minimum 2:2 degree in Engineering, ideally in Electronics or Aerospace Engineering, with a strong foundation in electronic circuit theory, analogue and digital electronics, and fault-finding principles. You will have knowledge of aircraft and engine electronic systems. You will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues, interpret data, and support the implementation of practical engineering solutions. As such, you will demonstrate a proactive learning mindset, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in developing your electronics engineering capability. You will be motivated to achieve both business objectives and personal development goals while contributing effectively within a collaborative engineering team.
