Calibration Technician manages and performs the repair and calibration of measuring and test equipment (M&TE) along with various hand gauging.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assures that all M&TE meets requirements as specified in the Quality Manual, Aerospace Standard and Industry requirements.
- Services all incoming M&TE.
- Determines suitability for calibration, repairs when within the capability of Metrology, and calibrates M&TE per the Quality Program and Industry guidelines.
- Coordinates with team members to ensure all due and coming inspection gauging/equipment is properly repaired/calibrated in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot equipment as required.
- Willing to support fluctuating business needs including overtime support as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of hand gauging, M&TE, and inspection methods.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hands on calibration experience.
- Basic Computer skills and ability to learn/use computer applications.
