Calibration Technician manages and performs the repair and calibration of measuring and test equipment (M&TE) along with various hand gauging.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assures that all M&TE meets requirements as specified in the Quality Manual, Aerospace Standard and Industry requirements.
  • Services all incoming M&TE.
  • Determines suitability for calibration, repairs when within the capability of Metrology, and calibrates M&TE per the Quality Program and Industry guidelines.
  • Coordinates with team members to ensure all due and coming inspection gauging/equipment is properly repaired/calibrated in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot equipment as required.
  • Willing to support fluctuating business needs including overtime support as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of hand gauging, M&TE, and inspection methods.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior hands on calibration experience.
  • Basic Computer skills and ability to learn/use computer applications.

>
