We currently have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Pupil Premium Learning Support Assistant (English) to join our team, providing key support within the classroom working closely with other teaching staff to ensure provision is effective and that learning needs are met.

As a Pupil Premium LSA you will be working under the guidance of the Head of Department, Pupil Premium Champion and qualified teachers, in the invaluable role of supporting individuals and small groups of students in their English learning.

Job requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 and above
  • Ideally have experience of working with children as a learning support or teaching assistant or an interest in starting a career in education.
  • Experience of supporting pupils and utilising strategies to manage behaviours and meet needs, including supporting speech and language
  • Awareness of Child Safeguarding
  • Ability to effectively communicate on the pupil’s progress, with strong written and verbal communication skills
