We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the educational journey of students requiring additional support, including those with EHCPs and on alternative provision pathways.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to boost literacy and numeracy.
  • Coordinating and managing the Intervention and Learning Room to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supporting students on alternative provision packages, tracking progress, and liaising with external providers.
  • Working closely with the SENCO, Deputy SENCO, and Pastoral Team to develop and implement effective support strategies.
  • Leading a small team of LSAs and contributing to the wider SEN department.

  • A committed professional with experience in education and a strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • A proactive, flexible, and resilient individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Ideally, you’ll hold a HLTA qualification (or be willing to work towards one), and have strong literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
