Collingwood Marquees Ltd is a leading marquee and furniture hire company based in Northumberland, serving Northumberland and the surrounding Counties. This is a full-time on-site role for an Experienced Marquee Rigger, located 10 miles outside of Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves setting up and dismantling marquees and related event structures, loading and unloading equipment, and ensuring the safe assembly of marquee components. The role also requires maintaining and inspecting equipment for safety standards, collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines, and delivering excellent customer service during event setups. An average day starts at 7:30am and generally finishes 3pm-5pm dependant on workload, in the winter months a lot of time is given off.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in erecting and dismantling marquees and understanding of relevant safety practices
  • Experience in equipment handling, including loading and unloading event materials
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Physical fitness and the ability to undertake physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
  • Previous experience in the marquee or events industry is highly beneficial
  • A full and valid driving license is a must.
